What was the total you backed up? I had 300+ GB queued, but changed it to just important docs and my photo library which brought mine down to about 100 GB which took 3 or 4 weeks to upload.
I backed up 1.8 TB from 5 partitions on 3 hard drives. I included a lot more stuff than is generally recommended, but my upload speed is 15 Mbps on FiOS, so I splurged.
TJ’s tip to give CrashPlan more CPU power doubled my upload speed to an average of roughly 6 Mbps. I guess the bottleneck is encrypting the data before it’s uploaded.
It’s about time (part 2).
It’s been seven weeks, non-stop, but now I have an offline backup.
