I made another Mystery Science Theater 3000 license plate frame for the front of the car. I used a reverse-image decal on the inside so it would be protected from the warp speed debris it will likely encounter.

Yeah, people seem to like it, huh? I’m glad there are so many MST3K fans out there.
The idea came to me when I realized that a license plate is the shape of a movie screen, and it would be great to have the MST3K guys at the bottom. So I searched for just such a frame, but I couldn’t find ANY. So I made it myself.
The frame and cover can be found on Amazon for $5 here (and it’s Prime-shipping). I got a set of two MST3K vinyl decals at this Etsy shop for less than $9 (including shipping).
I recommend requesting the mirror-image decals so you can put them on the inside and they’ll be protected. I anticipate that car washes and the harsh winter will not be kind to it, so I will do the inside version when I replace it.
It also needs longer screws to attach it than you probably have now. 20 mm long fasteners worked for me.
I installed it yesterday and it looks great. I’ll be keeping my eye on people’s faces behind me in traffic to see which ones are MST3K fans.
